About Me
Hello! I’m Shennin (or Sir Shen), I live and work in New Hampshire. I’m an illustrator who uses traditional and digital tools to create comics and illustrations. Alongside my visual work I also write my comics as well. I focus on creating morally grey characters that reflect the complexities of the human experience. While I am a fan of multiple genres, the majority of my work involves elements of horror.The main goal of my art is to create weird stories for weird people. As someone who grew up different it is my mission to make characters that my readers can see themselves in. When I’m not working on art, you can find me playing video games, watching horror movies, or playing tug of war with my two dogs.One important thing about my work is that I am a major advocate for art made solely by humans and am uninterested in working with or using generative AI.

The following are my self-published comics that I created between 2022-2026
Bug Bites is a 12-page illustrated short story about an accountant
named Sasha Barley who believes that her coworker is a giant bug.
The book is a journal of her day-to-day work life as she tries to explain
her bizarre theory. This piece is 6 x 9 inches with black and white
printed interior. Each book is handmade using vanilla envelopes, sticky notes, and includes handwritten elements from the characters. It was released Spring 2025.
What happens when we die? For most dead means dead, unless you're a Cadaver Man. After killing his latest victim, Eliza didn't expect her to come knocking on his door. Lazarus, a carefree drifter, has a strange condition that prevents her from dying. Though she has no interest in figuring out why that is, Eliza is insistent to get to the bottom of things. But is ignorance truly bliss? And what dangers will arise the more this troubled duo investigate?Cadaver Man is a 36 paged self-published comic written and drawn by me. It is 5.5" x 8.5" and is in black and white. It was released Fall 2024.
In this newest issue our two protagonists venture out to Eliza's old college library to search for information about the undead. But lurking there is Eliza's past waiting to strike. How will this duo handle these old unhealed wounds and what else is stalking behind them?This issue is a 32 paged self-published comic written and drawn by me. It is 5.5" x 8.5" and is in black and white. It was released Fall 2025.
It was another boringly average shift for Georgia until she found a body hidden beside her work’s dumpster. The discovery is the least of her concerns though when she realizes that she’s seemingly been trapped into a time loop, unable to leave the store.Georgia and The Body is a story about the horrors of body dysmorphia displayed through a surrealist and supernatural lens.This issue is a 35 paged self-published comic written and drawn by me. It is 5.5" x 8.5" and is in black and white. It was released Spring 2026.
